Arlyn attained a Bachelor of Arts from Calvin College in 1964 and a Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University Law School in 1967. Arlyn has been a practicing attorney in the State of Michigan since 1968. Arlyn is a founding member of WealthCounsel LLC, an active member of the Greater Lansing Estate Planning Council, the Mid-Michigan Chapter Financial Planning Association, and the Mid-Michigan Planning Giving Council, and serves on the Attorney Disciplinary Board Committee for the State of Bar of Michigan. He also actively participates in his community through the Meals on Wheels Program and provides free legal services through the Cristo Rey Community Center. He also networks with fellow WealthCounsel Michigan attorneys to continually improve the estate and legacy planning services they provide to their communities.
Beyond the office, Arlyn is involved with the Enduring Gifts Committee through River Terrace Christian Reformed Church. Arlyn enjoys spending time attending MSU basketball games and his grandchildren’s sporting events. He is the proud father of two children, Amy and Mark, and five grandchildren, Emily, Lauren, Mitchell, Tommy, and Maya. Arlyn and his wife Eunice regularly visit their family cottage in South Haven and enjoy the Blueberry Festival and local farmer’s market.
